How to Buy Tron (TRX)

Across a variety of industries, block-based platforms have inserted their dominance and continue to seek new ways to decentralize popularized apps and means of services. Tronix is the latest platform rippling the tidepool, as it aims to decentralize the very way in which we share content on the internet. This allows artists, musicians, and creatives that release their own content the power to do so without having to go through entertainment conglomerates like Apple, YouTube, Amazon, or Facebook.

Is it like a music streaming app?

Not entirely. While a large focus of Tronix’s platform is focused on sharing content, the team plans on expanding other features so that users can:

  • Play online casino and other games
  • Store data

Tron already has a group of partnerships lined up with major digital media companies in South Asia. Adding to their infrastructure, their team is made up of former Microsoft and Alibaba developers.

With the first beta launch scheduled for the end of March, the project seems to be on the road to success. Interested? Don’t wait. Let’s show you how to buy some Tron.

Create A Coinbase Account

The first step in the process is simple: purchase some Bitcoin or Ethereum from Coinbase. Try buying the coins through Coinmama if you’re having troubles with Coinbase — the steps will be the same for both wallets. Already a Bitcoin or Ethereum owner? Awesome, go ahead and skip ahead to the next step.

Create A Binance Account

Once we have purchased our BTC or ETH, we will be able to purchase all other coins through what we call a cryptocurrency marketplace. We’ll be using Binance for today’s tutorial, but you should know there exists an array of different marketplaces to choose from. Establish an account with Binance, then move on to step 3.

Send BTC or ETH to Binance

What we’re doing here is transferring our BTC or ETH from our Coinbase wallet to our Binance wallet. Might seem a bit complex, but really it’s a simple-step process. Use the below for reference:

  • Select “Wallets” on Binance
  • Find for “BTC” or “ETH”
  • Tap “Deposit”
  • Hit and copy the address string
  • Open up Coinbase
  • Click the “Accounts” label on Coinbase
  • Locate your BTC or ETH wallet & select “Send”
  • Place the Binance wallet address into the Coinbase recipient address bar
  • Fill out how much you want and press that send button!

Woot woot, you did it! If you’re still confused by the steps, below are some screenshots describing the process using ETH. Again, we’re using Binance here.

Purchase Tron (TRX) on Binance

Now that we have our BTC or ETH in our Binance wallet, it’s time to buy! Look for the “Markets” tab and search for the BTC/TRX or ETH/TRX market. Once you’ve found the desired market, decide on your price per coin, the volume you want to purchase, and click buy!

That’s it?

Yep, that’s it! If you’re still confused by this step, below you’ll find a screenshot of the page. Hopefully this will clear up your confusion.

Assess & Save

Great job securing those TRX coins — the next step is up to you. Since you’ve started to get the hang of this, you can head back to the marketplace to look for other coins. However, you’re not required to go back and buy… you can always sit on them (they’ll stay safely tucked away in your wallet).

Anything else?

Nope, that’s all! We hope you enjoyed and successfully purchased from Tron. If not, please feel free to send any questions our way in the chat window to your right—we’re ready to assist.
