How to Buy QLINK (QLC)

The world’s first decentralized mobile network has arrived. We’re looking at you, QLink. QLink utilizes the emerging block-based technology to create an open-source telecom infrastructure on blockchain. It is, by all means, the first of its kind.

What does that look like and what can it do?

Some of the features QLINK contains include:

  • Wi-Fi sharing (you get rewarded for becoming a mobile hotspot)
  • Mobile data for content distribution (Content providers can bundle their content with mobile data, allowing users to stay clear of data charges as they access their streaming services)
  • Decentralize E2P SMS (allows users to register their unused SMS assets on the network)
  • Decentralized base station deployment (QLINK sends vehicles to areas where they anticipate a jam in the bandwidth to occur to keep users connected)

The world is looking to connect more and more each day, and QLINK’s team of veteran developers plan on delivering. Tired of the traditional phone network? Let’s set you up with some QLC today.

Open Up A Coinbase Account

Now to the nitty-gritty. First, buy some Bitcoin or Ethereum from Coinbase. If you’re having problems accessing the website, try buying the coins through Coinmama. The processes are identical. Already bought some BTC or ETH? Awesome, proceed to the next step.

Create A Kucoin.io Account

There are a few cryptocurrency marketplaces you can buy QLINK from, but for today’s tutorial, we will use Kucoin. Using our BTC or ETH, we can purchase other coins at cryptocurrency marketplaces. Create a Kucoin account and move on to step 3.

Transfer BTC or ETH to Kucoin

This next set of steps outline how to transfer Bitcoin or Ethereum from Coinbase to your Kucoin wallet. Might look complex but follow the steps below. The process is rather simple once you’ve done it.

  • Tap “Wallets” on Kucoin.io
  • Identify “BTC” or “ETH”
  • Click “Deposit”
  • Select and copy the address
  • Go back to Coinbase
  • Find the “Accounts” section on Coinbase
  • Find your BTC or ETH wallet & select “Send”
  • Paste the Kucoin wallet address into the Coinbase recipient address bar
  • Fill it out then send it off!

Lost? Below are some screenshots that help outline the steps. We used Ethereum as an example.

Now it’s time to buy! Move your mouse over the “Markets” tab and look for the BTC/QLC or ETH/QLC market. Once you’ve found the appropriate QLC market (dependent on your anchor currency), you can determine the price and amount of QLC, and then press ‘buy!’

Here’s another screenshot that can help you visualize.

Calculate & Put Aside

You did it, great job! The next move is up to you. You can return to the marketplace to purchase other coins, or you can hold onto your QLC and wait.
