How to Buy Hshare (HSR)

We’re not entirely sure as to who will prevail in the battle between block-based and blockless blockchain systems, but for the time being, the team behind Hcash knows they want to bridge the gap between the two systems.

Hcash is the first-of-its-kind cryptocurrency that is building a new, decentralized platform and distributed ledger system which links links blockless and block-based blockchain systems.

What’s the point in linking the two systems?

It allows value and information to be freely circulated between different blockchains such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, Lota and more. Hshare plans to achieve this through its:

  • Dual sidechain composed of both blockchain and DAG systems
  • Zero Knowledge Proof technology that will protect users’ privacy
  • “Proof of work” and “proof of stake”  Open Governance model that allows each user to take part in community-wide decision-making
  • Ability to between transfer coins between public and private addresses

Blockchain systems — whether block-based or blockess — are not leaving anytime soon, so let’s figure out how to get you some Hcash.

Create A Coinbase Account

Initially, you’re going to want to buy from Bitcoin or Ethereum from Coinbase. If you’re not able to access Coinbase, head over to Coinmama — the two platforms are basically interchangeable (yes, this means the steps are the same). Already own some Bitcoin or Ethereum? Great! Head over to Step 2.

Create A Binance Account

Outside of Coinbase we’ll have to find migrate to a cryptocurrency marketplace. Here we can use our main currencies (ETH and BTC) to buy all the other coins. To keep it simple, we’ll be buying HSR on Binance. Still, do remember that other marketplaces exist. Go on and make an account, then continue to step 3.

Send BTC or ETH to Binance

This part looks complex at first glance. We’ll assure it’s not. It’s like taking money from one bank account and transferring it to another. In this case, we’ll be moving our Bitcoin or Ethereum from our Coinbase wallet over to our Binance on. The steps below detail how to do so:

  • Find “Wallets” on Binance
  • Identify “BTC” or “ETH”
  • Tap “Deposit”
  • Copy the address string by selecting (then highlighting and copying)
  • Find your way back to Coinbase
  • Click the “Accounts” label on Coinbase
  • Find the BTC or ETH wallet & then select “Send”
  • Put the Binance wallet address inside the Coinbase recipient address bar
  • Issue the amount you desire then send it on over!

Here are some screenshots describing the process using ETH for reference:

Purchase Hcash (HSR) on Binance

Here, hover over “Markets” and identify the BTC/HSR or ETH/HSR market. Once you find yourself on these markets, you can then detail the price per coin, issue out the amount you want, and eventually complete your first HSR purchase.

Assess & Save

You just bought some Hcash! You’re killing it. What you want to do from here is entirely up to you. Many initial investors just keep them safe and sound in their wallets, while others head back to the marketplace. You might find yourself in the latter category, now that you know how easy it is.

Is that all?
