How to Buy Bounty0x (BNTY)

Welcome back to the Wild, Wild West. The team behind Bounty0x has brought bounty hunting into the 21st century in the form of a decentralized application. No Mexican standoffs and saloon fights here, though. Instead, the team has revolutionized bounty hunting to target and fix software issues — their cowboys of the digital plains.

How does bounty hunting work outside of the Westerns?

It’s very simple. On the decentralized network, the bounty hunter creates a submission for a bounty. These bounties can range from:

  • Critical software bugs
  • Software code improvements
  • Consulting tasks
  • Influence marketing

The submissions by bounty hosts are verified through a smart contract, which is then able to distribute payments anonymously once the bounty hunter completes the task.

Bounty sheriffs must review the bounty hunter’s work before they’re to be paid. The platform’s token, BNTY, plays a big role in this as well; it’s the fuel that allows hosts to post campaigns, hunters to work on submissions, and sheriffs to review the work.

Does this pique your interest? Think this is a platform to bet on? Let’s get you set up with some BNTY.

Create A Coinbase Account

Now it’s time to go buy some cryptos! Create a Coinbase account so you can purchase Bitcoin or Ethereum. If you’re having troubles with Coinbase, using Coinmama as an alternative. The process is identical and we recommend both. Bought Bitcoin or Ethereum in the past? Solid. You can skip this step.

Open Up A Kucoin.io Account

Once you’ve bought your coins, we will need to go to what is called a cryptocurrency marketplace. There, we can buy other coins using our BTC or ETH. There are a few places where you can buy Canya from, but today we’ll be using Kucoin. Open up a Kucoin account and move on to step 3.

Move BTC or ETH to Kucoin

These next steps are nothing but a transfer of BTC or ETH from our Coinbase wallet to our Kucoin wallet. Don’t let it throw you off, it’s not complex. Follow the steps bellow:

  • Press “Wallets” on Kucoin.io
  • Locate your “BTC” or “ETH”
  • Click “Deposit”
  • Copy the address (the address string)
  • Go back to Coinbase
  • Find “Accounts” tab on Coinbase
  • Locate your BTC or ETH wallet & select “Send”
  • Move the Kucoin wallet address into the Coinbase recipient address bar
  • Enter how much you’re looking to send over and finish!

Now it’s time to buy what you came for; Bounty0x. Look for the “Markets” tab and find the BTC/BNTY or ETH/BNTY market. Once you’ve found it, you can establish the price, how many you’d like to purchase, and then finalize!

Below is a screenshot that demonstrates where to buy on the page:

Appraise & Store

Great job on securing that BNTY! If you’re feeling confident with the purchasing process, feel free to head back to the marketplace for more. Otherwise, you can let them sit in your wallet. They’ll be safe there.

Am I finished?

Yep! We understand this can be tough to understand the first time around, so if you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to send them our way in the chat window to your right.
