How to Buy Aion (AION)

Bitcoin and Ethereum are now the PCs of the late 1990s, and AION is the WWW — the next big step in the blockchain revolution that will allow create an ecosystem where multiple networks are able to coexist and communicate with one another.

Aion, the self-proclaimed “first third generation blockchain,” is looking to connect participating block-based platforms, such as Bitcoin and Ethereum, to allow the free passage of information, logic, and value.

Where is Aion going with this?

Without scalable and secure interoperability, the chances mainstream organizations will adopt blockchain technology is slim. With Aion, blockchain will be customized and created, meaning organizations will be able to connect and exchange data with participating platforms. Fueled by the Aion token, the cryptocurrency will be used to:

  • Develop new applications
  • Bridge bridges
  • Create new blockchains
  • Secure the overall network

It’s only a matter of time until different blockchain platforms are connected, so let’s help you get some Aion.

Create A Coinbase Account

We will first need to purchase some Bitcoin or Ethereum from Coinbase. Try buying the coins through Coinmama if, for whatever reason, Coinbase is being fickle. If you already have some BTC or ETH on you, feel free to proceed to step 2.

Create A Binance Account

Once you’ve purchased your BTC or ETH, you will need to head over to what we call a cryptocurrency marketplace. Here, you will be able to purchase all other coins using the main currencies. We’re using Binance today, but you can buy AION from other marketplaces as well. Open up an account with Binance account and move on to step 3.

Send BTC or ETH to Binance

The next part has a tendency to fluster people. However, all we’re doing is moving our BTC or ETH from our Coinbase wallet to our Binance wallet. Here’s how to do that:

  • Select “Wallets” on Binance
  • Search for your “BTC” or “ETH”
  • Tap “Deposit”
  • Click and copy the address string
  • Open up Coinbase once more
  • Press on the “Accounts” label on Coinbase
  • Locate your BTC or ETH wallet & select “Send”
  • Input the Binance wallet address into the Coinbase recipient address bar
  • Fill out the desired amount and send away!

Did that help? Visuals can sometimes be more helpful than words, so here are some screenshots describing the process using ETH for reference:

Purchase Aion (AION) on Binance

Time to buy some AION! Locate the “Markets” tab and search for the BTC/AION or ETH/AION market. After you find the desired market, establish your price per coin, the amount you want to purchase, and then finally buy!

Anything else?

Nope! Still confused? See below. Hopefully another screenshot clears it up.

Decide & Save

You just bought some AION — we hope you’re excited! The next steps are up to you. Feel free to head back to the marketplace if you’re feeling comfortable with the process. Otherwise, a lot of people let their cryptos sit in their wallets, and you shouldn’t worry about doing so either… they’ll be safe.

What else do I need to do?

Nothing, that’s it! Hopefully you found this tutorial helpful, but we understand if you still have some questions. Send them our way in the chat window to your right, we’re happy to help!
